The NOSP works closely with the HSE Resource Officers for Suicide Prevention.

Central Statistics Office
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) collects, compiles, analyses
and disseminates statistical information relating to the economic
and social life of Ireland. Broad statistical information on deaths

Choose Life: A National Strategy and Action Plan to Prevent
Suicide in Scotland
Phase 1 of 10-year plan to reduce suicide rates in Scotland
by 20% by 2013. Scottish Executive allocated £12 million from
National Programme budget over the next 3 years to support and complement
both national and local action to achieve the "Choose Life"
aims. £3m being invested in National Action, £9m to
support local work.

Promoting an independent network of people working in fields of
Suicide Prevention and Suicide Research. It currently has an 'in
principle' agreement covering 31 European Countries.

International Association for Suicide Prevention
IASP is dedicated to preventing suicidal behaviour, to alleviate

Canadian-based Suicide Information & Education Centre (SIEC)
provides library and resource centre giving information on suicide
and suicidal behaviour. Also Suicide Prevention Training Programs

information available on-line for free, including the 'SIEC Alert'
